Anne Marie Helm joined the Consortium in 2012 as Senior Fellow. Ms. Helm serves as co-editor of The Source for Competitive Healthcare, a law and policy resource on issues of healthcare cost and competition, soon-to-be-launched as competitivehealthcare.org. Ms. Helm will be teaching a module of the UC Hastings Health Law II course in Spring 2014. She also conducts research on issues of health privacy law and policy. Her forthcoming paper, Privacy and mHealth: How Mobile Health “Apps” Fit into a Privacy Framework Not Limited to HIPAA, will be published in the Spring volume of Syracuse Law Review. Prior to joining the Consortium, Ms. Helm conducted research in the field of economics and public policy for the Woodrow Wilson Department of Politics at the University of Virginia. Prior to that, she practiced litigation for eight years at two New York and Washington, D.C. law firms. She earned her J.D. from Emory University School of law, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor on the law journal.
